Position: Retail Store Manager
Three Stars Sportscards is looking to hire two Store Managers for retail operations. The Store Manager will be the primary promoter of positive, exciting and memorable customer experiences. One store manager will have their primary store responsibility in our Little Canada location and the other will be in our Bloomington location, but both will require flexibility for multi-store support. The Store Manager should demonstrate an attitude of excitement and enthusiasm with a “first to arrive, last to leave” attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for store open/close on scheduled days of work. Periodically may be asked to help open/close on short-staff days (case by case).
- Schedule and manage employee work hours, including time-off requests and time-card verification/authorization for bi-weekly payroll.
- Encourage and motivate the retail associate team to meet or exceed customer experience expectations. Smile, greet people and provide exceptional customer service.
- Provide effective performance feedback to all staff and set time frames for achievement. Must also commit to following up on those expectations and maintain accountability.
- Inventory management and accountability:
- receive incoming inventory shipments (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc)
- ensure availability and protection of merchandise assets through proper inventory management.
- perform quarterly inventory counts.
- perform monthly “spot check” inventory counts.
- work with staff and management team to ensure accountability of inventory assets.
- In-store cash management and accountability
- cash register opening & closing float.
- cash balance management: daily cash count and reporting to management
- banking: manage cash (roll-change, $1’s, $5’s, etc) for register(s) and periodic cash/check deposit(s) or location transfer.
- Train, coach and develop retail staff on all aspects of customer experience which include but are not limited to, sales techniques, products, promotions, events, and procedures.
- Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented and compliant with established company policies and procedures.
- Monitor the activities of store team members to maximize efficiency, minimize errors and respond to customer’s needs. If challenges arise, bring to the attention of the management team to collaboratively find solutions.
- New ideas are what propel companies forward, share ideas with the management team for collaboration (if it works good in one place, it may work great in another).
- Maintain cleanliness standards as they evolve, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.
- Manage the purchasing of second hand goods/cards from retail customers at the store level.
Requirements & Qualifications:

- Experience: management experience required, (3-5 years of retail management experience preferred).
- Education: High school or equivalent. College Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening checks.
Position: Retail Store Associate
Three Stars Sportscards is looking to hire sales associates for retail operations. Full and part time positions are available.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer while maintaining professional standards.
- Learn product knowledge and all other aspects of delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements as communicated by management.
- Accurately and efficiently perform transactions on registers and accurately maintain all cash at the registers.
- Help protect the assets of Three Stars Sportscards [examples include: properly returning product to shelves and display cases, closing cash register drawers, protecting customer cards that are being submitted for grading and maintaining displays and equipment].
- Communicate specific “one-off” customer requests to management.
- Maintain orderly appearance of the store [examples: register area and sales floor].
- Other tasks as assigned from time to time by any manager.
Requirements:
- Ability to process information / merchandise through the iPad based Point of Sale system.
- Ability to effectively communicate with management, team members and customers in a positive and friendly way.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Physical ability to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and performing all functions as set forth above.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to work at all locations if called upon.
Position: Online Singles Associate
Three Stars Sportscards is looking to hire a online singles associate to work on our online team based in Bloomington.
Three Stars Sportscards is looking for motivated, hard-working candidates to work for a growing sportscards company. We have three locations in the Twin Cities - Bloomington Little Canada, and Minnetonka.
Responsibilities:
- Fulfill orders from various online sales channels.
- Break down purchased collections for various online and in store sales.
- Price cards for in store purchases.
- Assist in retail sales at any location, including weekends, as required.
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.
- Accurately and efficiently perform transactions on registers and accurately maintain all cash at the registers.
- Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by any manager.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate with associates and customers.
- Must be able to lift up 40 pounds.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above.
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including weekends, and holidays, as needed.
