Three Stars of the Month

On the page, we will have three featured players each month, along with a special offer for our customers.  We will select the Three Stars of the Month each month based on a combination of on field performance, local bias and a myriad of other random reasons!

The Three Stars of the Month for January 2008:

#1 Star Marian Gaborik	Our #1 Star of the Month is Marian Gaborik.  Gaborik had a five goal game in December, the first in the NHL in over 10 years.  He has continued to play very well, leading the Wild in goals by a wide margin. Gaborik is the last remaining member of the Wild from their inaugural 2000-01 season.  He has been a fan favorite during his entire career. Marian has also been named the NHL Player of the week 2 of the past 4 weeks.
#2 Star Adrian Peterson	Our #2 Star of the Month is Adrian Peterson.  Peterson broke the NFL's single game rushing record with 296 yards in a game this season against San Diego after have a 224 yard game against Chicago. Peterson finished the year with 1341 rushing yard and 12 rushing touchdowns, both second in the NFL. He was also recognized as the Offensive Rookie of the Year.
#3 Star Torii Hunter	Our #3 Star of the Month is Torii Hunter.  Although Hunter signed with the Angels this off season, Torii played parts of 11 seasons with the Twins winning a Gold Glove the last seven seasons he played here. In addition to being the best defensive center fielder in the league, Torii averaged 25 home runs and 90 RBI over the last seven season with the Twins. Torii will truly be missed by all Twins fans.
